Gallner's New Nightmare On Elm Street
Kyle Gallner is up for the role as Glen Lantz in remake of classic horror Nightmare On Elm Street. The role was originally played by Johnny Depp.

Speaking exclusively to Fearnet.com the actor said:

"I'm actually waiting to hear back about the new Nightmare on Elm Street. Friday the 13th is scary because it's this crazy guy going around killing people and there's that supernatural element in there too. With Nightmare on Elm Street, it's so freaky. As long as you are awake, you are safe. But whether you want to or not, your body is going to fall asleep, and that's when Freddy Krueger gets you. That whole concept is terrifying. If you get hurt or killed in your dreams, there's nothing you can do about it. You are completely helpless."

Seyfried Out Of Sucker Punch
Amanda Seyfried's attempt to tackle some edgy theatrical material has been thwarted by scheduling issues. EW has learned that the actress, best known for her singing-and-dancing role in Mamma Mia, won't be starring in Zack Snyder's 1960s-set, R-rated action fantasy Sucker Punch for Warner Bros. Seyfried was offered the lead role of Baby Doll, a young woman who has been committed to an insane asylum and fantasizes about escaping with the help of her fellow inmates. But with shooting scheduled for the fall, HBO won't release her from her Big Love commitment, which will be in the middle of filming its fourth season. No word yet on who Snyder will find as her replacement.

Seyfried is scheduled to complete her work on Chloe, in which she costars opposite Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore, this week. It's unclear whether or not Neeson's absence will prolong her schedule on the film. With Big Love concluding its third season Sunday night, Seyfried can be seen next in the Diablo Cody-penned horror film Jennifer's Body, opposite Megan Fox.

No Mars Movie Anytime Soon
In an exclusive interview with PopWrap, Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas has revealed there will not be a movie anytime soon.

"While the pitch [to producer Joel Silver] went well and I don't think the movie's dead, right now it's looking depressing. I think honestly if we would have had the pitch ready a year earlier, it would be a go project. The hope that we would get a quick greenlight didn't materialize. This is the least optimistic I've felt in a while."

But, if there is any silver lining to be found in this dark, dismal storm cloud, Rob felt comfortable sharing what "Veronica Mars: The Movie" would have looked like now that the project isn't headed our way any time soon. "If we were going to do a movie, I would want to put Wallace and Logan and Mac and Weevil in it," he said in regards to whether or not it would focus on Veronica's FBI years. "We would have picked up just prior to Veronica's graduation, it would have been the college years."

As for those of you who are still holding grudges against Rob for "Veronica's" ambivalent ending, rest assured, Rob hears you. "It's one of the reasons I wanted to do the movie. There was so much debate as to how we would end season three since it could have been our last episode. But truthfully, I didn't want to make it any easier for them to cancel us. I didn't want to give them that nice happy 'ahhh' feeling."

But should the movie gods smile upon Rob and financially back his baby, the producer is raring to go. "I would love nothing better than to make this movie, I would drop whatever else I was doing!"

Videos: Party Down With Kristen Bell
Kristen was recently on the Party Down set to film her guest starring role in comedy from Rob Thomas. Kristen was happy to be reunited with the Veronica Mars creator as well as friend and colleague Ryan Hansen who stars in the new series about aspiring actors working as caterers until they get their big break.

The actress said, "It's euphoric." 'Veronica Mars' is such a special part of my life, and I don't think I really realized it and maybe it didn't resonate till later, but I miss these people so much."

Bell has expressed an interest in reprising her role as Uda Bengt, the leader of the "Party Down" crew's rival catering team. "I've told Rob if I'm available, I will do anything and everything that he writes. Hopefully, next season, Uda will be back," she said. "I'll keep my fingers crossed."

Ryan Hansen had a different view:

"Kristen Bell, I've worked with her before. Nothing's changed. She is a complete bi---," Hansen joked about the reunion. "She doesn't really give you anything to work with. She's short, and she's not very pretty."

Kristen had nothing but nice things to say about one of her closest friends:

"I would say Ryan [Hansen, who played Dick Casablancas on 'Veronica Mars'] cracks me up the most, but I think everything that he does is funny, because we have the same thoughts."

Meanwhile, Party Down actor Adam Scott — who once guest-starred on Veronica Mars — jokingly described his work experience with Bell. "She's a horrifying person," he said, adding that "VM" fans will get a kick out of this show. "I think this will be fun for fans of 'Veronica Mars,' " and it helps that Mars herself stopped by for support. "Kristen is awesome," he added. "We were excited when we heard she was going to do it. She's like a pro's pro."
