Amanda Seyfried is not a fan of kissing her co-stars on movie sets, claiming it is ''really annoying''.

The 24-year-old actress - who is currently in an on/off relationship with British hunk Dominic Cooper - admits she hates locking lips with her colleagues for film storylines and would rather save these "intimate" gestures for personal moments.

She said: "I had to kiss eight guys in one weekend. I was screen testing for the two characters that are playing opposite me. It's really annoying - an intimate thing you have to do with people you don't want to be intimate with."

However, the pretty blonde star was able to see the funny side of it when film bosses teased her about kissing session by sending her an amusing package.

She laughed: "As a joke, the studio sent me a basket containing Listerine mouthwash and Tic Tac mints."

The actress has had a busy few months with five films being release since the beginning of 2009.

However, Amanda is determined not to become typecast into a role.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm never going to be on one path. 'Dear John' and 'Letters To Juliet' were shot about a year apart but are coming out in the same four-month period. That was a mistake."

Amanda Seyfrued struggled to visit her boyfriend Dominic Cooper when he was filming in Europe earlier this year (10) - because the actress is terrified of flying.

The Mamma Mia! star, who met Cooper on the set of the hit movie, was parted from her lover when he relocated to Malta to film his role in The Devil's Double, playing the son of infamous Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

Seyfried admits she barely saw him while he was away, because she never gets on a plane unless she really has to.

She tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "I haven't really been with him this year because he's been in Malta.

"I hate being up in the sky. I'm always scared it's (the plane) going to crash."

Amanda Seyfried left HBO's Big Love earlier this year during the 4th season, but it might not be the last of Amanda Seyfried on Big Love. She told the LA Times “I’m gonna go back, probably at the end of the year,” she left the show for her movie "Letters to Juliet ". Amanda continued saying:

“The commitment [of ‘Big Love’] would have kept me from doing anything this summer, and that’s just not fulfilling enough,” she said. “People were throwing opportunities my way, and I was like, ‘Oh, sorry, I can’t.’ But I was talking to Bill [Paxton] the other day, and he was like, ‘You’re coming back, right?’ And I was like, ‘Absolutely, if I’m not busy working on something crazy, of course I would.’ ”

This is going to be an epic event. I for one can't wait.

Amanda Seyfried personally responds to most of her fan mail - because her mother forces her to write replies.

The Mamma Mia! star's mum, Ann, has taken charge of her daughter's post bag since she shot to fame at the age of 18, and makes sure the actress takes the time to answer letters from fans.

Seyfried says, "Whenever I'm at home, she sits me down and makes me reply to fans. She gets really excited and says, 'You got 14 pieces of mail today!' She goes through all my mail, she's very efficient. It feels like team homework because she gives me stuff to sign and then she Fed-Exes it out. She loves it."
